From the photographer: “After taking a drive through the fall landscapes I kept desiring to create a shoot centered around those beautiful warm colors. Sometimes it’s just good to create. Being inspired by nature we chose to highlight the mingling of warmer tones with cooler colors. By pairing golden oranges, berry, and light blue/lavender we hope to show viewers how you can use this color palette for a fall or spring wedding.”
From Leman Floral: “When Ashley reached out about creating a modern twist on a traditionally fall color palette I was really excited. Staying true to the inspiration of the gorgeous Southern landscape, we foraged 90% of the grasses and textures and were constantly awed by the variety of options our native Mississippi wilderness had to offer. Dried sprigs of lavender and just a touch of blue tweedia helped balance the warm tones of the blooms and gave things a fresh vibe we agree would be perfect year round. The arch was a fun study of balancing hard edges and organic shapes. We toyed with how to take the idea of the traditional circle ceremony arch and add a modern twist. Simple in nature and structure, we love the juxtaposition of the lines of the semi-circles with the soft, natural textures of the grasses.” Hair, makeup, and accessories were kept to a minimum. It was refreshing to skip all of the bits and baubles and simply focus on a clean and modernly fresh palette. The gown speaks for itself. The gorgeous cap sleeves begged us to forgo any other adornment and let them be the star of the show. Molly Gee did a beautiful job and really captured the allure of a modern look that is extremely accessible and still very flattering.
